WELCOME TO DANADA VETERINARY HOSPITAL!

We are a full service companion animal hospital providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, and rodents. In your search for a veterinary facility, we believe you should expect high quality medical care and great service. Our goal has been to assemble a team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care.

Danada Veterinary Hospital is staffed with veterinarians who are knowledgeable, compassionate and willing to explain all the procedures your pet undergoes. While many clients have their favorite, we advise getting to know 2-3 of our doctors so both you and your pet are comfortable with our staff should your regular doctor be out of the office.

Each time you schedule a visit with the doctor, your pet will receive a thorough physical exam. If your appointment is for vaccinations or a heartworm test, our veterinarians will give your pet a full, complementary exam prior to vaccinating to ensure your pet is healthy before receiving vaccinations.

Danada Veterinary Hospital recognizes the pet overpopulation problem. For those clients that have rescued a pet within the past month from an organized, not-for-profit rescue group or not-for-profit shelter, we will waive the initial veterinary exam fee. Please bring the paperwork that accompanied your animal when it was adopted. Additional charges for services or vaccines may apply.

We look forward to meeting you and your best friend!

ALERT: CANINE HEARTWORM POSITIVES 2017

As of November 2017, we have seen over three times the number of POSITIVE canine heartworm patients that we would normally see in a 12-month period. This alarming increase appears to be due to several factors: an increase in pets transported from southern areas of the US to be adopted from our local shelters, pet owners miss giving monthly pills, and pets not receiving preventative year round.

Heartworm is transmitted to your dog via an infected mosquito. As winters become more mild, mosquitos can be active all year long. Left untreated, heartworm disease is deadly; treatment for heartworm disease is costly and lengthy. Since early detection is imperative to prevent permanent damage to the heart and lungs, yearly testing and monthly heartworm prevention is essential to ensure your dog is protected against this disease.

Let the doctors at Danada Veterinary Hospital help you decide which parasiticides are best for your pet.
