After a thorough physical exam, your pet may need further testing to help your veterinarian reach a definitive diagnosis. Having an in-house laboratory, including equipment with AI technology, enables us to provide quick diagnostic results for bloodwork, cytology, urinalysis, and heartworm testing. We also utilize veterinary reference laboratories for specialized diagnostic tests and consultations.
Our imaging equipment allows for clearer images and a faster, more accurate diagnosis of your pet's internal condition. In addition, the digital x-ray machine provides safety benefits to your pet and our staff and has less of an impact on the environment than conventional x-ray films. Ultrasound is a valuable, noninvasive tool used to determine organ health, see growths or masses that are not easily seen on an x-ray or clarify something the doctor may see on an x-ray. In order to make your pet more comfortable, we have a special procedure room for ultrasounds, checking blood pressure and performing ECG's. We have an ICU for both dogs and cats where we hospitalize our sickest patients. In extreme cases, we have an isolation ward for patients that may be contagious to other animals.
Our advanced diagnostic skills and equipment means our veterinarians can manage most medical cases. However, we maintain excellent relationships with local specialty hospitals and can refer your pet for additional, advanced testing if necessary.
